HeyAdvisor merges financial literacy with design to revolutionize financial advice. Our co-founders combined their distinct experiences (Emily with a background in financial services and Sammy with expertise in animation and design) to create a platform to help financial advisors make advice engaging and understandable.
Initially featuring just 30 pieces, HeyAdvisor now boasts over 120 videos and infographics, aiding independent financial advisors and firms throughout Canada. Our vision is to continually expand the content, empowering advisors to demystify financial topics for clients, making financial wisdom not just accessible but truly captivating.
Emily Reed has been working in the financial industry for over 10 years. She has held various positions including an associate financial advisor for a high-net-worth advisory business as well as the customer success officer for a Canadian WealthTech company. Emily also built and ran a coaching program to aid financial advisors in creating a more systematized business. She built HeyAdvisor to merge her passions of financial literacy for the next generation, WealthTech and helping advisors be successful.
Sammy Claydon is a producer, designer, and animator. She graduated from Queen’s University with a B.A.H. in Economics and completed a Diploma in Accounting at the University of British Columbia. Previously, Sammy worked for many years as an animator for a popular children’s educational cartoon. Partnering with Emily, she has been able to use her understanding of financial topics, as well as creative capabilities, to explain concepts visually in an informative and entertaining way.
